FAQ's Meet the Staff	History Buena Vista Farms, Inc. began as a homestead and cattle farm, in the early part of the century. Nestor and Teri envisioned lovely grounds with the rolling hills and creek running through the property. The creek became a lake for paddle boating, and fishing. Two buildings were built in 2006 to accommodate many types of events. A pergola and gazebo were added with gardens constantly evolving. In 2010 a 60’ X 70‘permanent Euro Style White Tent with a capacity of well over 300 people was added to our venue. All buildings are handicap accessible and are temperature controlled. We offer a variety of different events at Buena Vista Farms. These include corporate meetings, weddings, birthday/anniversary parties and family reunions. Please feel welcomed to stop in, have coffee or soda and sit to visit over a game of checkers! Corporate Events Team building events, offering recreational opportunities; is one of our specialties. Nestor’s experience in Agricultural sales, gives him insight to corporate events. Typically we provide a motivational speaker accompanied by a luncheon then recreational competition and break out small group meetings. Companies can expand this to include spouses and a dinner dance in the evening. We are well prepared with audio-visual equipment, and amplification for all your needs. We have hosted brides from Springfield, Virden, Pawnee, Petersburg, Jacksonville, Rushville, and Winchester, encompassing Central Illinois as our customer base. Weddings at our facility are full service, so it can be a stress free day for the bride and family. We provide all beverages and bar service. We own many styles of tabletop decorations and backdrops for decorating indoors and outdoors according to your specific preferences and incorporating your unique ideas. Specific caterers at Buena Vista, work together with us to create menus to your liking and budget. Several DJs, musicians, and bands have performed at Buena Vista helping to insure that the act you pick will be familiar with our venue. Host your Special Event at BVF Birthday parties, anniversary parties and family reunions are fun at Buena Vista! We offer several indoor and outdoor games, bon fires and barbeque grills for all types of events. Our pretty wrought iron portable bar and buffet can be set up for these informal events. We have a 12 x 12 tent with scalloped top, corner finials and mosquito netting that can be set up on several locations throughout the property as well.
