A venue for group retreats or special events nestled in the farm lands of Illinois.

Located on 35 acres in the quiet town of Chapin, Illinois, Buena Vista Farms was once a cattle pasture and homestead. The farm passed to heirs and sold to the Gutierrez family in 2000.  They had just returned from Santa Cruz, Bolivia, South America, where they lived on a cattle ranch near a small town, Buena Vista, named for the “beautiful view” coming down a mountain, overlooking the valley town.

We are thrilled to welcome you to Buena Vista Farms, with beautiful views of the pond, woods and abundant wildlife. A peaceful setting, away from city lights, is star-filled, and quiet, relaxing around a bon fire. Formal gardens and pond offer photo settings, spots to sit and relax, hike or play outdoor games for casual celebrations and reunions. Two buildings, pergola, and tents, offer elegant settings for outdoor or indoor weddings.  Productive and fun business meetings take place with a variety of team building events.
